Ludo: what to know before playing
Take a moment with Ludo before moving to another game. Bring all four tokens home before the other players. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move. Begin with the local players mode shown on the page. Look at what changes after your first action.
Play with two or four people on the same device. Follow the house rules shown on the board; internet matchmaking is not available.
Give this approach a try
Locate the buttons and input area before beginning a long round. Use the on-screen labels to avoid an accidental restart. Make the next step deliberately.
Aim for this result
Bring all four tokens home before the other players. The feedback beside the game helps you follow the round. Return to the instructions when a step is unclear.
Step by step
- Roll six to leave the yard.
- Move an eligible token by the die value; home requires an exact roll.
- Capture opponents on non-safe squares.
- Six, capture and finishing a token grant another roll; a third consecutive six forfeits that roll.
Getting comfortable with the controls
Click or tap a piece and destination; use the turn indicator and legal-move feedback. Keep the playing area visible while using these controls. A new-round button replaces the current round.
Put the rules into context
A token two steps from home cannot use a three. Compare this with the rule that governs the move. Verify the rule before continuing.
An important reminder
Safe squares cannot capture; blockades are not part of this edition. Read the feedback to see why an action did not have the expected result. Keep the stated aim separate from side details such as animation or appearance. Progress is measured by the game’s own completion or scoring rules.
