Build familiarity through play

After a move, check what changed. Decide which rule explains the new state before acting again. Refer to the controls when needed.

Your objective

Identify new and previously seen words before losing three lives. Use the instructions to see which actions move you towards it. Check the rules when you are unsure.

The playing sequence

  1. Read each displayed word.
  2. Choose New word or Seen before.
  3. Remember words from this round only.
  4. Three mistakes end the round.

Making selections and moves

Click or tap one of the two answer buttons. Read a button’s label before selecting it. Avoid pressing the same control repeatedly while a move is being processed.

One way to understand the rules

PLANT seen earlier in the same round requires Seen before. Apply the same reasoning to the position in your own round. Look for the relevant detail.

Check this before moving on

A word from an earlier round does not count as seen now. Check the rule before repeating the action. Compare the worked example with your own position. Use the reasoning, not an answer copied from a different board.
