Mini Golf: what to know before playing

Mini Golf gives you a focused activity to play in your browser. Sink all three holes within twelve strokes per hole. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls. Make your first input carefully and watch the result. Look at what changes after your first action.

Three original obstacle courses; wall bounces and friction.

Something to practise

When a decision goes wrong, compare it with the common mistake described below. Start again only when you intend to leave the current round. Make the next step deliberately.

The goal to keep in mind

Sink all three holes within twelve strokes per hole. An attractive position is not enough unless the goal is met. Notice how the game responds to your input.

Making your moves

  1. Aim a stopped ball.
  2. Set power and putt.
  3. Wait until it stops before another shot.
  4. Use Next hole after sinking.

How your actions work

Touch aim, angle/power sliders and Putt. On a smaller screen, keep the active part of the board within view. A new-round button replaces the current round.

A closer look at one example

A soft final putt can sink where a fast crossing would not. Compare this with the rule that governs the move. Verify the rule before continuing.

One detail worth checking

The hole accepts only a sufficiently slow ball. Compare the situation with the worked example. Choose one rule to keep in mind for this round. Apply it consistently rather than guessing what another version might allow.
